New Page on My Israel/Palestine Focus
My postings this week on Boston’s Gaza protests have drawn a fair amount of traffic, with a sprinkling of comments from people who haven’t been here before and aren’t likely to look back at the blog’s beginnings to see what I had in mind. If this applies to you and you’re curious about what I’m up to and why, or if you think I’m just uninformed or simplistic, you might read my new Page that collects in one place some of my history and motivation. You might still think I’m uninformed or simplistic, but at least you can check out some of my links.

Dennis,
Hello..it is Myron from Kfar Etzion. Too bad you didn’t look me up if you were in the “neighborhood”.
Times are hard..but after attending a Peace Cafe event of Israelis and Palestinians together in Beit Jalla, i am thankful for the personal humanity that is strong none the less.
You may want to have a look at http://www.IPeace.me It is a network with all sorts of people are there.. A place that tries to look at the future (although it does get a little bogged down in arguing the past as well..i guess that is inevitable)..

Hi Dennis,
This is from Josh, an American Jew living in Norway. I met you at an ISTP conference in Toronto a couple of years ago. I just wanted to say thanks for the postings on the Israeli/Palestine issues. I have been trying to make sense of the latest Gaza situation and your blog and website have been a big help. There is a demonstration in Oslo today and if I attend, then I might make a small post about. Maybe it could be an interesting comparison to what happened in Boston?
A link from the Guardian that I read that might be interesting for you and the other readers on the blog:

Zionism is the ideological cover behind which Jews everywhere are called upon to remember the persecutions suffered. That using the suffering of past persecutions to legitimize acts of violence and hatred against others is fear and weakness disguised as ” struggle for justice”. Dr. Joel Kovel has clarified this hidden psychological mechanism in an interview with Sherif Fam brilliantly.
