Selling West Bank homes in New Jersey
An article in Haaretz describes that New Jersey real estate sale of West Bank settler homes I described a couple of weeks ago. At the end of the article, there was this:
American embassy officials had no information about the legality or illegality of the project under U.S. law, but said that the expansion of settlements ran counter to American policy. Spokesman Stewart Tuttle said that buying homes in the West Bank would be a “huge risk” given the unknown results of a final status agreement.
What does it mean for West Bank settlement expansion to be counter to U.S. policy if the U.S. government doesn’t do anything about it?
